Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) has entered into a partnership agreement (MoU) with the University of Greenwich of the United Kingdom (UK) through the program for Food and Nutrition Security (FaNSI) of the Natural Resources Institute (NRI).
Through this agreement one SUA scholar has successfully secured a PhD scholarship at the University of Greenwich in January 2020.
Director for SUA Pest Management Centre, Dr. Ladislaus Mnyone commended the University of Greenwich for achieving the official signing of the agreement which he believes will bring success and to strengthen relations between the two institutions. Dr. Mnyone has advised students to seize the opportunity especially on researches that can solve various challenges in Tanzania and around the world.
NRI is an institution specializing in social development research such as Food, Agriculture, Environment and Sustainable Life which oversees the Food and Nutrition Security Program (FaNSI) program to address the challenges facing the African continent especially in access to nutrition. The University of Greenwich through FaNSI is working with various institutions in Africa where Sokoine University of Agriculture is the latest one.
